Forest
I am the forest, alive and thriving.
I am nature, perfect and sublime.
My trees tower above and touch the skylight.
My roots spread far and beyond,
they greet the world underground.
The birds circle around and call out to me.
The insects burrow beneath my soil,
hide behind my leaves.
The fish breath in my ponds,
the wilderness bathes in my streams.
The monkeys swing from my branches,
the snakes slither drowns my trunks.
The tigers live amongst my rocks,
the lions rule from my caves.
The giraffes are my binoculars;
the owls are my night vision.
The bats are my gothic vampires;
the butterflies, my fairies.
The porcupines are my bodyguards
and the deer, are the princesses that frolic on my planes.
They love me because I feed and shelter them.
They love me because I am their nature and because I am their home.
