Mysterious Creature

It's so hot and stuffy! I exclaimed aloud, as I saw the temperature reading on the weather report. It was 38 degrees outside. Even the room temperature was unbearable, despite the air conditioning.

I was in my room busy playing Fortnite when I hear a loud BANG from outside. I was pretty sure it was a gunshot and, yet I could have been wrong.

I ran outdoors and saw a seemingly white creature lying on the front porch, covered in scarlet drops of blood. Surprisingly, I couldn’t tell what it was. It looked like a bird, but nothing like any bird I had ever seen. Two wings protruded from its sides and, white feathers covered its grand posture.

I brought it inside, sneaking past my mom. It was bleeding from somewhere, that was completely normal. But what confused me profusely, was why its left wing was shedding blood.

Despite the puzzling mystery, I tried to bandage it and give it some bird food. But it refused to eat anything.

I didn't give up and went to search the kitchen to find something. However, as soon as I stepped inside, a crashing noise reached my ears. My room was a mess. The bird was sitting on my drawer, devouring my pack of Oreos.

At first, I was angry but, then I thought its the only thing it will eat. But soon I realized that mom would have heard the crash. She would be coming in any second. I hid the bird in my closet and awaited the confrontation with my mom.
